UMA SACCO is a savings and credit cooperative society which was formed as a resolution of the Uganda Medical Association AGM of 2011.

The SACCO has since grown to near a thousand members and increasing every day.
We boast of a share capital of over 800,000,000/- Savings of over 3 billion and a loan portfolio of over 5 billion.

* Enjoying all services provided by the SACCO including affordable loans.
* Get an annual share of the interests and dividends made from investments based on the total savings and shares each member holds.
* Receiving regular and up to date financial literacy, investments and competitiveness education.
* Encouraging the growth of a savings culture among medical practitioners.
* As a legal organized group, the UMA SACCO can benefit financially and in kind from other support entities like government programs, international organizations and others.
* Leadership skills growth as any member can be voted to the SACCO leadership positions.

Requirements
1. A copy of registration certificate/license (UMDPC) Or proof of registration for a provisional licence Or a copy of the admission letter to a medical school for medical students.

2. Being a member of the Uganda Medical Association (Membership at 100,000/= for medical officers and SHOs, 50,000/= for Intern Doctors and 10,000/= for Medical students ).

3. A copy of the ID (preferably the national identity card)
4. A passport size photograph.

5. 170,000/= for minimum requirements for joining the SACCO. This includes
50,000/= – entrance fee
20,000/= – savings
100,000/= – 1st share
